Batik Scarf Making Workshop

Create your own hand-painted silk scarf with Kinetika

The price is inclusive of a hand-woven Murshidabad silk scarf, 200cm x 54cm and all other materials.

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Kinetika artist Lisa Meehan will guide participants through the process of painting a unique silk scarf from your own designs created at home or patterns provided for you to choose from. You will transform your drawing on to a paper pattern to finalise your design. Learn to draw with hot wax using brushes to create a resist of lines and marks on the silk and to paint with beautiful, vibrant fabric dyes, building up layers of colour for your scarf

The finished scarves will be sent off to fix the dyes and remove the wax and will then be posted to each participant.

Kinetika offer these masterclasses to small groups, they are designed for beginners or experienced creatives, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out.
